The athlete

Aksel Pedersen was among the region’s finest runners. In 1942 he became Danish champion - the five diplomas in the archive are from that year. On 22 August 1943 he took silver in the 1500 metres at Copenhagen Stadium, alongside Harry Siefert and Kaj Hansen.
